I move that the Region 12 President be authorized to sign a contract for facilities for the 2009 Region 12 Rally to be held in the month of October, 2009.

Rationale: Approval of this Motion will allow the Region 12 President to follow guidelines set forth in Region Policy Number 5 and allow for the planning process to proceed in an efficient and timely manner.

Motion/Item No.___ Meeting Date: October 18, 2008 Location: Watsonville, CA

I move the Region 12 Board establish a travel allowance for the Region 12 First Vice President to travel to and attend the Mid-Winter IBT meeting in Montgomery, TX., in January, 2009. All reimbursable expenses shall conform to WBCCI Blue Book By-Laws and Policy, Appendix 3, Page 1 with the amount not to exceed $1500.00. This allowance will apply to either ground or air transportation. All claims for reimbursement to be supported by receipts or other documentation.

If the Region 12 1^st Vice President is unable to attend the Mid-Winter IBT meeting the Region 12 2^nd Vice President may attend in lieu of the 1^st VP. The travel allowance authorized for the 1^st Vice President may be used by the 2^nd Vice President.

Rationale: It is important Region 12 have representation at the Winter IBT where many motions or items concerning the club are acted upon. If the Region President becomes ill or incapacitated adoption of this motion will allow representation on issues of concern for the club or the region.

REGION 12 MOTION FORM

I move that the Region XII Executive Committee provide a monetary subsidy towards the cost of the Region XII Breakfast during the International Rally at Madison, Wisconsin in 2009. The monetary subsidy shall not exceed $750.00

Rationale: The Region Breakfast is the event where Units receiving merit or superior achievement awards are recognized. The new Region XII 1^st and 2^nd Vice Presidents will be installed and the appointed officers will be introduced. It is also a time for all Region XII members attending the International Rally to get together.

Motion/Item No.___ Meeting Date: October 18, 2008 Location: Watsonville, CA

I move that the Region XII Executive Committee provide a monetary subsidy toward the cost of the Region XII Picnic to be held on July 4, 2009 during the International Rally in Madison, Wisconsin. The monetary subsidy shall not exceed $500.00.

Rationale: The Region XII Picnic is a fun event for members attending the International Rally and allows the Region to say thank your for the work and support given to Region XII activities. The subsidy will allow the picnic to be provided at a reduced cost for those attending.
