Unit Presidents - Request for assistance:
I am sending this email to each you requesting your assistance. In the event you were not aware, the Rose Parade Rally was cancelled as the Unit that previously coordinated it felt they could not longer manage the rally. The Rose Parade Rally is a big plus for our Region. As a result, your three Region Officers elected to try to resurrect the rally and obtained permission from the Club to reinstate the rally. However, due to certain circumstances beyond our control we were late getting the advertisements out to the WBCCI membership. I am asking that each of you speak to your unit and assist us in obtaining registrations for the rally. If we do not receive enough registrations to assure the rally will precede as planned I will be forced to cancel it. Your officers want to maintain the rally as it has always been very popular and provides our membership with a unique opportunity to view the Tournament of Roses Parade up close and at a very reasonable price compared to the other clubs that also attend the Parade. An application for the Rose Parade Rally is available by going to wbcci.org then clicking on region12.wbcci.net and then to the Activities Section.
I also want to announce to each of and your unit members that I am seeking the nomination for the position of International 3rd Vice President. I will be interviewed for the position at the IBT in Montgomery, TX in January. If I receive the nomination voting will take place at the International Rally in Madison, WS. If elected, I will take office on July 5th at the end of my Presidency for Region 12. John Boutwell will take over as Region 12 President on July 5, 2009. If after you have advised your units of my candidacy and if they feel they can support me I would request you forward a letter of support to the Nominating Committee Chairman Past International President Jerry Collins at WBCCI Headquarters in Jackson Center, Ohio.
Thank You
Don Clark, Region 12 President
