SNU member Jeanne Sassin (LaBorde) has a unique talent and hobby. She paints eggs in the Ukrainian style. Jeanne uses unwashed white chicken eggs as they accept the paint the best. The designs on these eggs are very detailed and require a lot of patience and skill as well as an artistic eye. Rick says Jeanne has been painting these eggs every spring for years. It is often a group effort as Jeanne teaches others this unique art. |
